HowMuch (“the app”, “we”, “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy describes our data practices.

**Short version: HowMuch collects no personal data. Everything stays on your device.**

## What Data We Collect

HowMuch does not collect, transmit, store, or share any personal information. Specifically:

– No account or registration required
– No name, email address, or contact information collected
– No location data
– No device identifiers or advertising IDs
– No usage analytics or behavioural tracking
– No crash reports (v1.0)

## Data You Create

All data you create in HowMuch (project names, cost items, solver values) is stored exclusively on your device using Apple’s SwiftData framework. This data:

– Never leaves your device
– Is not backed up to any HowMuch server (standard iCloud/iTunes device backups may include it, per Apple’s policies)
– Is deleted when you delete the app

## Local Storage

HowMuch uses:
– **SwiftData (on-device database):** Stores your projects and cost items locally
– **UserDefaults:** Stores a single boolean flag indicating whether you’ve seen the onboarding screen

No sensitive information is stored in either location.

## In-App Purchase

The one-time unlock purchase ($2.99) is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. HowMuch does not receive or store your payment information. Apple’s privacy policy governs the purchase transaction.

## Third-Party Services

HowMuch uses **no third-party SDKs or services**. There are no analytics providers, advertising networks, crash reporting tools, or data brokers involved.

## Children’s Privacy

HowMuch does not knowingly collect data from children under 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). No data is collected from any user.

## Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)

Since we collect no personal data, there is no data to access, correct, export, or delete. To delete all app data, delete the app from your device.
